The duration of the project is 18 months, and it has a total value of € 421,276.78 (€ 305,341.41 is funded by the European Union). The primary objective of the project is the development of Qualifications standard in the field of mechanical engineering and capacity development of partner higher education institutions in order to define or improve the learning outcomes and to implement student-centered learning. The expected results of this project include established sustainable partnership and connection of stakeholders in the sector of mechanical engineering, published standard of qualifications in the field of mechanical engineering, informing the public and stakeholders about the standard of qualifications and a paradigm shift in education, as well as educated and informed university teachers and students about learning outcomes, standard of qualifications and new teaching methods. The Applicant is Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod (Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek) and the Partners are: Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (University of Split), Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (University of Zagreb), Faculty of Engineering (University of Rijeka), Institute for the Development of Education (Zagreb). The project will achieve a firmer connection of the education sector and the labour market, so that the standard of qualifications could meet the real needs of the labour market. Therefore, Croatian Employment Service, Croatian Chamber of Economy, Croatian Chamber of Mechanical Engineers, CTR - Development Agency of Brod Posavina County, student councils and ALUMNI - associations of former students at four partner faculties will be included in the project as Associates.
